The Welcome Guide and Video
The Welcome set includes Welcome to the United States: A Guidebook for Refugees, which many of you have received overseas, and the Welcome to the United States: Refugee Guide to Resettlement DVD, which may have been shown to you during cultural orientation overseas or within the United States. These resources were developed to help you and other refugees learn information that will help you adjust to life in the United States.
Please note there is a 2012 edition of these resources, pictured on the top, and a 2007 edition, pictured below. Both editions offer the information you need about resettlement in the United States.
The 2012 editions have been updated to feature photos, case studies, and stories of currently arriving refugee populations. The 2012 guidebook edition also includes many worksheets and activities, designed to provide an interactive way of learning about resettlement in the United States.
As the guidebook and the DVD are translated into various languages, those translations will be posted here, listed on the right side of the screen.
Until that time, the 2007 edition remains available, and you can read this edition of the guidebook in a number of translations, also listed on the right side of the screen.
